Greenway Environmental Announces Closing

In a letter dated June 1, 2000 Greenway Environmental announced it would close at the end of business June 9, 2000.

RE: Greenway Environmental, Inc.

Dear Jimmy:

Please be advised that Greenway Environmental, Inc. has ceased operations and is in the process of closing its facility. Almost all of the waste on site has been removed and the facility has been improved remarkably since it was taken over by Greenway over two and a half years ago. Unfortunately, due to the lack off funds, Greenway will be required to lock its gates and terminate the employment of all its employees as of the close of business on June 9, 2000.

Since the facility is shutting down, Greenway voluntarily relinquishes the operational authorization under its RCRA permit. It also relinquishes its rights under the Draft Air Permits currently issued by QDEQ.

As we discussed, Greenway has no funds for closure, and thus, advises ODEQ of this fact. We invite any ODEQ personnel, as well as EPA personnel, to tour and inspect the facility prior to its shutdown on June 9.
